As the “money people,” producers raise funds and closely monitor expenditures. They also work closely with the director and contribute to creative decisions during the shoot and post-production. Producers are also ultimately responsible for creating a safe and supportive workplace.

Larger productions call for several producers. Executive producers head up the production with the help of associate producers.
